Work As Executed / As Built Surveys
Civil construction and building works will often require the preparation of a work as executed or as built survey.
This type of survey is often stipulated as a development consent condition from council and will involve the following:
The accurate survey of the location and finished levels of constructed works including such things as roads, driveways, stormwater drainage, on site detention tanks, sewer and other civil works.
A plan is prepared of the location and levels of the completed works and generally drawn in red over the approved construction issue or CC plans. They are then endorsed by a registered survey as being a true record of the location and level of the as constructed works.
The plans are then reviewed by the design engineer or certifying authority to ensure that critical element have been constructed within allowable tolerances to ensure that all constructed facilities function appropriately and to standard.
We advise that the surveys be carried out and reviewed by the design engineer prior to final payment to the constructor to enable any issues to be resolved.
