Lease Area Surveys / BOMA / PCA Surveys
If you are entering a lease for a retail, commercial or industrial building your lease will generally be calculated on the lettable area that you are going to occupy. The Property Council of Australia has a set of measurement guidelines to determine how your occupied area is calculated.
A registered surveyor can prepare a survey plan and report of the proposed lease area in accordance with the appropriate Property Council Guidelines.
If your lease is being calculated on a per sq. metre rate then this type of surveys is a very cost effective means of ensuring that you only pay for the area that you are occupying over the lifetime of your lease agreement.
